My work is mainly figurative with a strong focus on highlighting the beauty and power of the female form.  In a society that was built to bring down women, I am fascinated with the ways in which women use their femininity to their secret advantage.

The meditative process in my prints and sculptures are crucial to their development and meaning.  As a woman, I like to convey strength and endurance in the carving and building involved in both mediums.

>>RELATED TEACHING EXPERIENCE<<

I've been all all over the inner city and suburbs teaching art and enrichment from babies to middle and high school.  I'm currently running a new art curriculum for middle schoolers in the South Bronx that hasn't had an art program in over 16 years.   I get to strengthen and spread my understanding of the visual art world by day, and then reflect and make my own art by night!  For further information on my teaching resume, email me at CasandraTeresa@gmail.com
